Indore Arrival: Mandu | Discover the Lost Kingdom
Welcome to Madhya Pradesh. On arrival at Indore, you will be received and driven to Mandu, approximately 100 km away and around 2.5 hours by road. Perched on the Vindhya plateau, Mandu is one of Central India’s most fascinating heritage destinations, known for its grand ruins, palaces and enduring romantic legends.

**Jahaz Mahal**
Begin your Mandu exploration with the spectacular Jahaz Mahal, popularly known as the “Ship Palace”. Set between two lakes, its distinctive architecture creates the impression of a palace floating over the water.
**Hindola Mahal & Royal Enclave**
Continue to Hindola Mahal, recognised for its characteristic sloping walls, and explore the Royal Enclave, which once served as the centre of royal and courtly life.
**Hoshang Shah’s Tomb & Jama Masjid**
Visit the elegant marble tomb of Hoshang Shah followed by the impressive Jama Masjid, two of Mandu’s most significant architectural landmarks.
**Roopmati Pavilion**
As evening approaches, head to Roopmati Pavilion for sweeping views over the Narmada Valley. The setting also brings alive the legendary love story of Baz Bahadur and Rani Roopmati.
Mandu: Maheshwar | From Royal Grandeur to the Narmada
After breakfast, check out and drive to Maheshwar, approximately 40 km from Mandu and around one hour away. Situated on the sacred Narmada River, Maheshwar was the capital of Queen Ahilyabai Holkar and remains one of Madhya Pradesh’s most charming heritage towns.
